Frankincense serves our intentions of Protection and Success. It’s also connected with forgiveness. Ancient Egyptians incorporated the resin into the khol used to create the eyeliner used to protect their visions.
Myrrh speaks of deep Emotional Healing. It also represents the wheel of life, death and rebirth, part of a Yule celebration.
Together frankincense and myrrh associate us with spiritual growth and thankfulness. Both of these resins were medicinal and spiritual commodities in the Middle East and North Africa as far back as 5000 years ago.
